Son's Blue River Camp is located on the gorgeous and family friendly San Marcos River near Fentress, TX! This part of the river is ideal for tubing as there are no dangerous dams or rapids and the river flows at a nice pace allowing you to float with little to no paddling!

This section of the River is also ideal for families. You won't find the college scene here. Instead, floaters will find a beautiful blue river, outlined with majestic cypress and pecan trees which creates a peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable float. And since the San Marcos River is spring-fed, the river flows nice all summer long.

Convenient Parking and Shuttle Service
We have many vans and busses that run regularly on busy days and upon request on slower days which makes tubing and shuttling easy and fun! We own both the put-in and take out and have lots of parking as well!

Ultimate River Fun Wristbands are not included with any day or overnight rentals and must be purchased for each person wanting to partake in watercraft activities.

No Reservations Needed for Tubing & Kayaking
Reservations are not required for tubing or kayaking but are required for Cabana & Picnic table rentals as well as Camping and Glamping.
Where we are located, you can be on the river and never see another group and the float is 1.5 miles long! You can't get better social distancing than that! It’s the cities, specifically downtown New Braunfels and San Marcos that have these overcrowding issues, not at Son's Blue River Camp or Son's River Ranch!
The section of river we are on is not overly crowded.
